UNIVERSAL DESIGN FOR LEARNING

The main characteristic of Universal Design for Learning (UDL) is its focus on creating flexible and inclusive learning environments that accommodate the diverse needs of all learners. UDL is built around three principles the first one is Multiple Means of Engagement, providing various ways to engage students and keep them motivated based on their interests, strengths, and learning preferences, second Multiple Means of Representation, offering information in different formats (e.g., visual, auditory, text-based) to ensure that content is accessible and understandable to all learners and the third one, Multiple Means of Action and Expression, allowing students to demonstrate what they know in different ways (e.g., through writing, speaking, creating multimedia projects) depending on their abilities and preferences.
This approach ensures that learning experiences are designed to be flexible and adaptable from the start, reducing barriers and supporting every student's opportunity to succeed.
